Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Last updated – 23rd January 2020

We continue to monitor and adapt to the ongoing situation and latest government guidelines, in order to ensure essential Water Softener Salt and Food Grade Salt deliveries can continue to key commercial, healthcare and domestic customers, who are dependent on their Water Softeners. At present we are able to offer our full product range, services and delivery timescales.
We take the health and safety of our employees, customers and the communities we serve very seriously and will adapt our services to the latest advice and guidance from the relevant authorities.
Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving deliveries are not at an increased risk of contracting the coronavirus, as these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects and surfaces. To help mitigate any risk, we are also implementing the following:

  • All our drivers carry alcohol hand gel, latex gloves, face masks and cleaning wipes.
  • We ask customers to advise at the time of ordering, of any coronavirus restrictions/measures in place at the home/business.
  • Deliveries will be left outside, contact free, in a suitable location on your premises, or at the highway boundary where access it not possible.
  • Our drivers will continue to help customers who require assistance, such as carrying the salt in to a garage, but only at the driver’s discretion.
  • We ask our customers to respect social distancing measures while our staff are making deliveries.
  • Deliveries will not require a signature and we encourage customers where possible, to make payment electronically.
  • Customers collections from our Office are currently suspended following Government advice announced regarding retail premises on 23rd March 2020.

Deliveries being made by our partners including Royal Mail and the Pallet delivery network are currently unaffected but may have some slight changes to services.

In all situations, we will do our best to keep all customers informed with any updates or changes.
