We continue to offer a delivery service, subject to our Coronavirius (COVID-19) protection measures, but collections from our warehouse are currently suspended.
Our Free delivery service takes up to 10 working days, with an average delivery time of 3 – 5 working days. (Orders are dispatched as soon as we have a full van load for each area, helping keep our prices low and reducing carbon emissions).
Our Express delivery service guarantees delivery within 2 working days.
Delivery is free when you spend a minimum of £68, with the option to upgrade to Express Salt delivery guaranteed within 2 working days for just £10.
If you have completely run out of Salt, then please let us know when you order and we’ll do our best to get to you first.
At Essex Salt direct delivery to you at your home or workplace is all part of our service. Our drivers are more than happy to help with any requests to deliver the salt directly to a suitable location on your premises, such as into garage or shed. But do so at their discretion and at your risk.
Free delivery is defined as to the curb at the nearest public highway, and due to the weight of the products, does not include any re-delivery attempts. If no one is available at the property when we deliver, the driver will leave them on your property at their discretion (or in a location you request), or at the highway boundary, without signature and at your own risk.
Our delivery area covers all of Essex, and parts of Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and East London in the following post code areas:
- AL, CB, CM, CO, EN, IG, RM, SG, SS.
- IP1 to IP17 and IP 26-33,
- E4, E11 and E18.
Minimum total order amount applies for free delivery:
- Under £68 – £7.99
- £68 and over – Free

Postage to UK Mainland will be £7.00 via Royal Mail 2nd Class.
